uh oh trans problem
ok so im driving around the other day and im in first and i start to go and the tranny starts to make this loud whining noise. i notice that it only happens in first gear and it usually doesnt happen if i accelerate slowly. earlier this year when i took it in my dealer said i have 2 bad trans bearings or something of that sort but he said it shouldnt cause any problems other than being noisy. i was wondering if that could cause that noise i have a 1997 Civic EX Manual

Probably, $10 for each bearing and you have to take the whole motor/trans out to fix it :S

ok i dont have the means to do that or the time to so how much would you guess it would cost at a dealer?

hmm i think i mighta fixed it by tightening my shifter. i was in a hurry man im stupid. also could it possibly be that the trans oil is low?
