96 T&C Dash Speakers
The driver's side speaker does not come on until I crank the volume way up. I want to replace the dash speakers. I replaced the head unit with a Pioneer but the speaker issue remains. Can anyone tell me how to get to them. Do I have to remove from the instruments back or does the top piece (where the grills are) pop off independent of the rest (I hope). I have a trim panel tool but am afraid to use too much force.
Thanks, Ray R. 96 T&C 107,000mi |

The top of the dashboard pops out. There are several metal clips along the front edge, velcro near the windshield if I remember correctly. There is one wire harness connection for the information center. I started on the passenger side and gently pried the cover up after taking off the side post covers. There was one metal clip on the driver side nearer the windshield. Have not explored the wiring for the lights yet so I cannot help you there. |

do you happen to know how to get to the dash speakers in a 94 caravan? does the dash top come off of that one also? my right dash speaker works, and my left door speaker works. i havent had a chance to look at it, but i was gonna start by cleaning the speaker selection knob first
