Which would hit harder?

Ok, I can't make up my mind about which I should get. Here's my option
- two 10" Kicker L5s
- one 12" Kicker L7
- one 15" Kicker L5

A little input please

Re: Which would hit harder?

i would say it depends on what you are looking for out of the subs. if you are going for sq then you should go with the 10's, if you are going for spl then i would go with either the 15 or 12 depending on the rms rating of each. i'll do some research and get back to you.

I used to have 4 JL 12W6s in my prelude....

but anyways, I'm looking for more spl. I know the 12 or 15 would give me a little more, but for some reason I've always liked how two subs sounded.

10" L5 = 450W RMS, 900 max each (I'd get two)
12" L7 = 750W RMS, 1,500 max
15" L5 = 750W RMS, 1,500 max

Re: Re: Which would hit harder?

well i looked around and i think if you use the 2 10's with an amp that would power them sufficiently they would probably be the best overall. combined they have 900 watts of rms and the other two both have 750. if you are going for low low bass then i would go for the 15 L5 but if you want all around good sounding power o would go with the 2 10's. hope this helps.

thanks, that helps a lot. I've actually been leaning more towards the two 10s even though I want more spl, I think those would give me the heart pounding bass and still the sq that 10s provide.

those 10s will play like 12's anyhow. the surface area of the solobarics is more than the average circular speaker.
