release shaft
I just put in a new clutch for my jdm b16. Im trying to put back my cable but I cant get the release shaft high enough to put the cable on. Should the shaft be able to move more than an inch. Id hate to have to remove the trans again.

Re: release shaft
there is a screw on your cable - screw it away from the end of the cable, it will give you enough slack to hook the cable to the tranny then just screw it back to the tension you want. That simple.
