I have a R33 GTS and I'm wanting to swap out the engine with a turbo rb25. Is it worth it and how much does those mods usually cost?

yes it is definitely worth it. My friend has an RB20 R33 and it is a slooooooow P.O.S., he's getting an RB25DET put in as soon as he can afford it. don't know how much its gonna cost sorry, but it'll be worth getting the RB25 rather than modifying the RB20 which is too limited in potential in my opinion.

Re: Rb20E conversion to Rb25DET

Yeah I figured it was since it has almost 120 hp more. But I shouldn't have a problem getting it since I live in Japan. Thanks for the reply. |

Re: Rb20E conversion to Rb25DET
I did the swap the easy way.
Sold the R32 GTE (RB20E) and brought a 1997 R33 GTS25T nice and easy with a lot less hassles than a conversion would have been

Re: Re: Rb20E conversion to Rb25DET
When I came to Japan I had no idea that more than one version of the skyline was out. So I should've done more research but it was so clean looking and still is....gotta love the R33 bodystyle.
