Re: seat?

Seat is a spanish car company. It is run by volkswagen meaning the the engines are produced by them, just like audi. You can buy seats in the Mexico not in the USA. The Leon Cupra R is the most famous sport seat, the sports seat, powered by a 1.8T 225 hp.

Check out their website

They don't sell in the US, but they're quite commonplace in Europe, and you will probably run into one in the Middle East or Latin America (in Mexico they sell relatively well) as well.

Essentially, rebodied VW with a sporting touch and great looks (check out the new Leon), using the Polo and Golf/Rabbit/Jetta platforms and engines-trannys.

www.seat.com

Oh, and it's pronounced sey-aht, not siit.

Re: seat?

Hello,
SEAT started its life by selling FIAT in Spain. Like the Renault were sold there as FASA, the FIAT where SEAT (there is a SEAT 500, a 600, and so on).
FIAT owned around 7% of the capital, the rest being Spanish. It then went up to 50% in different stages.
Then VW bought the brand in 1986, and it became what we know in Europe.
See you,
auTHOMobilia
