oil in air cleaner

Sorry, forgot to mention in my original post...Escort is a 1991 with a 1.9 L. engine, has A/C, power steering.

any opinion or idea what's happening would be appreciated...doesn't seem to be anything wrong anywhere with the car, low milage, great running, good compression...so I'm at a loss...could there be a problem or something to do with the pollution control system?

shouldn't there be a valve or somethin there to keep that from happening? thats what I thought, but never really looked at it (that & i got a 2.0L SPI, different engine)
