Front End Problem
I have a 99 Integra GSR with only 55,000 miles. Lately the front end has been making a bit of a grinding/knocking sound. It doesn't seem to be necessarily tied to braking, turning, or accelerating. Just seems to randomly make the noise as I am driving along. It seems more noticable at lower speeds, when coasting to a stop, or accelerating from stop). Anyone have any thoughts? CV joint or bearings? I'm pretty crushed that I am having a problem with such low mileage on a Honda product.

In a parking lot turn the wheel hard right and then slowly move. Then do the same turning left. Do you here anything? You also might want to take your front wheels off and check you brake pads, calipers, and rotors.
Oh and make sure your E-brake is releasing properly.

I haven't noticed anything during hard turning, I will try that today. Also, I took it in for a routine service several weeks back, and told them about the noise (wasn't as prominent then). They said the brake pads/rotors were fine. I'm not sure if their inspection went beyond brakes though.

Update
I took the car in to get looked at (the noise has been getting more pronounced. After fully inspecting the CV joints, etc... they diagnosed it as noise from my aftermarket air intake (DC Sports / K&N filter). Not sure how/why its making that noise, since I've had that system on there for 5 years. Hmmmm.
