For all of you who know the 240 from bumper to bumper, you guys have to understand that not everyone is so well informed about every car. I can tell you a hell of alot of shit about the Taurus SHO, but when it comes to 240s' I'm just starting out gathering info, I was more of a domestic guy cuz i couldn't afford foreign cars. If someone has a stupid question, either ignore it or give him an answer to his question, don't go replying with negative remarks. I have ran into so many idiots out there who had a lot of shit to say about my project like they were paying for it. I want to swap a Taurus SHO V6 into my 240, so what? I actually got into heated arguments cause of ppl talking shit. We all love cars, we all want to modify them, there is nothing wrong with someone trying something diff. I have seen guys talking shit about a guy who swapped an SHO into a Triumph, saying he was dumb, then got pissed of when he cleared second on the race for the whole day.
I actually wanted at one point to swap the RB26DET into a 240, and a guy just told me it is very expensive, didn't talk shit, just simply. I told him what I got, my new project, I didn't have the money to pay someone so I am doing it at home. I replaced the motor in my Bird and next is to finish the 240. You can put any engine in any car if you either have the money or know how. I've seen 2nd GEN RX7s with 350s, Mosler used a 350 LS4 with a porche tranny, this was very suprising.
Please lets be respectful, even if you are a Mod or have the power to ban someone, you don't have to be disrespectful.

The Only Difficulty I See You Having With The Project Is The Tranny Format. Its Going To Be Either Expensive/hard To Find A Suitable Tranny For The Engine/car Combo.
As For Rx-7 V8's I Still And Will Always Feel That The Car Was Best Suited For The I6 Not The Rotary..... I Mean Look At The Suspension And Engine Bay It Screams I6!

I was having difficulty choosing a tranny, but now I am certain. T56 is the cheapest 6sp I can find.
And I was talking of the smaller RX7, the III Gen RX7 screams RB or Supra TT, I agree. And I was not talking of the project, I just don't see why some of the older forum members reply negatively to some question, regardless of how stupid it may sound. If some one wants a 4 wheel 240, it is possible, just costly, he might have the money, he might not. If you think the question is stupid don't reply, not insult someone. If I had the money, I would shove a Ferrari V8 into my 240, but I don't. The guy could have the money to pay to have a Skyline motor and 4 wheel tranny put in so he was just asking, you never know.

By the way, you can mount a T-5, or T-56 tranny on a SHO block. All you have to do is look for the info. I have all the notes and procedures, just got to get the tranny now.

a 5 liter in an fc rx7. i can't wait til school is done and i can waste $$ on somethin like that. i know you guys may get pissed at that, but i had an rx7 gxl when i was a kid and i always wanted the 5.0 under the hood.

I wasn't getting flamed, maybe you guys know each other or maybe not, I have met idiots in real life also, (like the one who told me there is no way a front wheel block can be converted to a rear wheel, he was a mechanic for 11yrs too), I'm just saying, no need of cursing someone out or giving him hell cuz he wants to do somethin outragious.
Didn't you guys see the street legal Pinto with a ford 302?? thing ran 9 flat, the ugliest thing I ever saw, with a huge cowl hood, and the guy said he wen't through hell getting the project done cuz guyz wouldn't help him and talked shit to him. I really don't know much so I try to compensate by asking questions and research, like the guy from importnut.net (very informative for the 240sx, thats where I learnt to do my 5-lug conv at home), he doesn't reply my e-mails any more cuz some of the questions I asked he thought were stupid, but I didn't know till I was told they were impossible.
It doesn't matter, still like the forum and the rap battles you guyz had were funny and entertaining, read every one of them.
