95 Grand Caravan easy ABS fix

Hi,
I'm brand new to this great forum after moving up from my 89 gc to a 95. The ABS warning light was on when I bought it and also the left parking and directional lights didn't work. I removed the battery to gain better access to the lights wiring since the bulbs were good and found a good chumk of the electrical harness had been eaten away by rats. One wire (brown&dark blue I think) running up to one of the two small boxes (relay?)on top of left fender area was missing 3". I spliced in a piece and the ABS light went out. I had read a service bulletin saying that if a wheel speed sensor connector was faulty, the ABS warning light would come on. I'm an accountant who dabbles not a mechanic so I am only guessing that missing wire was part of that sensor circuit.
The left lights were simply left unplugged by whoever re-painted the bumper. Auto store guy said rats love to eat the electrical, good to know in my case...hope someone can benefit from my experience.
Richard
