Question 525 in dash stereo swap out

Hi all,
I'm thinking of doing an aftermarket swap of my '92 525 touring Bimmer cassette/radio/CD controller. I like the idea of being able to load any CD i choose in the player while driving, instead of having to stop and reload the CD holder. I bought an adaptor for the original plug in the dash but have run into the Bimmer amplifier situation.
Is it possible to bypass the amp, use the orginal wiring and speakers with out have to run new wiring?? I've checked a few websites and found very limited schematics. The touring Bimmer has 10 speakers altogether, 6 up front, 4 in the back.
Anybody have any good sources for info??
Thanks,
Norbert

Hi, Norbert-
I recommend unofficialbmw.com
Whatever problems you're having, some BMW freak, um, I mean aficionado, has already encountered and solved. I think they have a whole section devoted to stereo difficulties.
Good luck.

PS-You'll have to click around a LOT to find what you want. I suggest checking anything marked "FAQ".
