gotta admit though... for $100 more when i bought the car for 5 years of oil changes compared to about what.. 24.95 each oil change every 3 months or so for a total of at least 4 changes a year which is roughly $100 a year... times that by 5 years which is $500.. so not bad that im saving $400

lifting the car

On the subject of changing the oil, the civic is too low to the ground form me to drive it up the ramps that I have. I'd like to use a hydraulic lift to lift the front end of the car up and then set it down on the ramps. Does anyone know if there is a lift point in the front, center of the civic? Or are the only lift points on the sides, the ones designed for the small jack that comes with the spare tire?

There is a point in the front, it is kinda rectangular, and it is in the middle, right by those plastic pieces, you may have to hunt around for it, but it's there.

There are some ramps which work for lower cars, one of them is called something like Rhino ramps (don't remember exactly) but they are available at autostores. I don't know if they would work on a lowered civic, but they'd work on a normal one.

just stick some pieces of wood in front of the ramp. Also, you could get a flat jack.
