Question 96 Sable brake light stays on/ Also Powe Antenna

I just bought a 1996 Sable LS after the car has been running the brake light comes on and stays on. There is no noise from the brakes, they are great, The parking brake is not on either.

Also the motor for the power antenna grinds and stays up.

Looking to replace it how difficult would that be.

Thank you

Re: Re: 96 Sable brake light stays on/ Also Powe Antenna

the kit you need is a antenna mast kit from ford, i just replaced one in a 1996 mercury cougar, it was not that bad. the kit is $47.00 plus tax.
the antenna mast has a plastic trac that is a part of the mast. i ended up taking out the plastic fender well, and just taking out the electric motor, then i open it and pulled out the old broken plastic trac.
the kit has great directionS also. here's the ford part number

Usually around the back of the brake pedal near the top where it goes to the firewall is a little switch that moves back and forth yours might be to far forward because the cars goes over bumps and crap. push it back a little and the light should go out.
