Going from Del Sol Si to Del Sol VTEC?
Wondering what parts you need to go from a D-series to a B-series?
Wondering what else you need to to that people often forget?

THE LIST
-B series motor
-B series tranny
-Del Sol VTEC engine mounts (all three, tranny, rear and driver side)
-Del Sol VTEC shift linkage, both bars, CIVIC SI WILL NOT WORK!!!
-Del Sol VTEC axels
-B series wiring harness and ECU that matches vehicle's current OBD status. 93-95 OBD-I 96+ OBD-II
-This web site: http://tech.hybridgarage.com/tech/5gtech/index.html
Here is a list of wiring you'll have to either verify or change to make your car run right after the swap. I'll tell you now that you'll have to run the Knock Sensor lead to ECU pin out D3 because you current motor DOES NOT have a KS. The rest should be good.
-B series Radiator (Del Sol VTEC from Honda stealership only, Integra GSR from most popular shops)
-Del Sol VTEC Upper and Lower radiator hoses (again Honda stealership)

Well that should just about do it! Any questions or comments you can post here or reach me VIA email, I'm hardly on AIM.

Sweet thanks again, Hey when you say
"if you're not careful which has a cable clutch and not a hydraulic like the Del Sol's use."

Do all year Del Sols use hydraulic? i though it was only like 96 97?

Re: Si to a Vtec?

Yep. All Del Sol's use a hydraulic transmission. The JDM B16A 1st gen was a cable transmission. Came in the JDM CRX. The B16A 2nd gen came in Del Sol's and used a hydraulic transmission. About 1992 is when Honda switched to hydraulic transmissions.
