95 Civic DX Problems

Hey, hows it goin everyone? I have a 95 Civic DX (Automatic) and my fan doesnt come on and it bogs down.

When a shop did the thermostat last year he was going to put in a new ECT Switch (engine coolant temp) but didnt get it so he jumped the fan wires and the fan is always on. I bought a new switch yesterday (Honda) and installed it and put the fan wires to the terminals inside the ECT Switch but even when the car hit 205 it didnt come on.

I've been told by a shop that I need the specific plug that goes onto the switch for my fan to work normally, true? My car also seems to heat up a bit, is it normal for it to hit 200 sitting in my driveway? The coolant is 50/50, bled and all that good stuff. I have a new head gasket, valves recently adjusted, new cap, rotor, plug wires, spark plugs and fuel filter. I have a g-rigged intake w/ a cone filter onto the stock hose w/ an exhaust adapter.

Car also boggs down under accel at times, timing problem? I noticed the bog w/ the stock intake box on (minus resonators and such). It was really bad and I replaced the spark plugs and it ran great for that day w/ minimal bog. #1 Cyl plug was pretty loose and almost all black, #2 not bad, #3 oily and #4 kosher. I think I need a new o-ring for the valve cover to stop oil but would that cause bog? Thanks!
