Where can I get a good Trany?

I blew my trany last night, since I need a new one I might as well get a GS-R or Type-R I guess... something better than another LS trany. I need it pretty quickly though any one know a site where I can find them?

It's a 5 Speed incase that needs to be said....

lol, i did te same a couple months back. best place to go is a junk yard. tell them what you want. that is where i found mine. for $450.

It's lames as fuck, I was with some friends, I was leaving to go home and I put my car into reverse, backed up, stopped moving, went to 1st, let out the clutch and "cling" ... there goes the tranny


The junkyard is an option I've heavily considered, I just need to find one around here .... If I could get it for $450 then I would be one happy bastard I was about to do a lot of work to my car and this is going to set me back about $1000

it was in december of '02 my clutch went on my car and i had this mechanic that my boss has been going to do my clutch. he charged me like $450 to do it. so i was like damn ok. well two weeks after he did it i would push the clutch pedal all the way to the floor and would hear this slight grinding noise. took it back and he said it was fine and would wear itself in. well low and behold 9 months later the clutch went. it appeared that the fucker over tightened my clutch cable and it was rubbing all the time. well at the end there my gears were grinding pretty bad. next thing i knew right after i got my new clutch in i chipped a tooth in first gear. thnx to the cheap ass mechanic. i sued the ass and won

well make sure its cable is all i got to say cuz thats what ya got if you have a 93 teg.
