Unhappy Im Stuck

OK WELL HERE IS THE DEAL I HAVE (damn caps lock) i have a 92 integra GS automatic with ebay intake, and tanabe racing medallion exhaust.

what would you do for $3500-$4000 all performance wise not bling bling no rims nadda. PERFORMANCE!

ive been thinking of getting a turbo kit i could get a deal for 2500 on an f-max kit. ( )

and i also have someone that could do a auto-manual swap with all parts plus exedy clutch b&m short shifter and eurathane shifter bushings and a knob for $880.

what would you guys do.

get the turbo installed, or do it yourself, tell him to throw in a lightened chromoly flywheel for a little more dough then upgrade your suspension, youll have a heck of a fun ride after that

sell your car for like $1,500 and put that with your money saved up so that puts you at like $6000 or so. buy a 94-97 ls with not to many miles on it for like 5,000 or so then youl have $1,000 left. put the 1,000 in the bank and let it add up for a while($3,000 or so) till you can afford a turbo
you'll have less miles on your car you wont be converting to manual and wasting your money and they look way better. just my opinion though.

Re: Im Stuck

Re: Im Stuck

I would get the Turbo, but not the $2,500. Get an upgraded one if you have the ammount you say you have. Go for a ball bearing turbo. It will spool up faster and perform better. I know Drag has a turbo kit for your car that will support like 450 Hp and it's only like $2,900 or so.. Look around see what you can find.

Re: Im Stuck

Do the turbo and the swap if possible, also maybe something other than the exedy clutch though. ACT and Cluthnet both make excellent clutch kits.

Re: Im Stuck

Yea I think your torque converter would handle it but you should be prepared for longer turbo lag with the auto tranny. If it was me I would do the manual swap first, that will make a huge difference.

Re: Im Stuck

hey jamie, i think a poll would have help u a bit more. heres the website for the fmax (turbonetics) kit http://www.turboneticsinc.com/tsystems.html. it tells u how much power gains at 8 psi for your gs.

and guys this is no crummy kit, this kit retail from 3800-4900. it is better than drag, greddy, and rev hard. why? it's a fully complete kit, includes a t3/t4 ball bearing turbo, carbon cast-steel manifold, msd fuel/timing controller, and many other high quality parts. for 2500 this is the best bargain u can get, thats why im getting one also .
