Help!!!!

Was driving my BMW home last night (pretty hard driving) and it just up and died. No sounds of engine problems (banging or anything else), but it won't start back up? Anyone have any idea what the hell could be the problem? Did the computer shut the engine down? Or something of that nature?

Thanks

Clayton

Could have possibly run out of gas. Is it possible that the injectors picked up some crap from the bottom of the tank? How long should it take to reprime the engine?

I've never experienced that problem with my BMW, but in American cars it would appear that the computer has gone bad. If the car is running fine and suddenly shuts off and will then crank forever with no spark and no attempt at running, it's probably brain dead. Someone else correct me if I'm wrong.

Haven't pulled the plugs yet to see if it has spark. Thankfully its not a daily driver, so hopefully I can dig into it tonight.

Re: Help!!!!

OK. So the first thing I was looking to check was the Fuel Filter, but I can't seem to find any info in my Chiltons on where that bugger is located...
