'04: Popping Noise Already??

I have a Tahoe LT and this past weekend, we noticed a very annoying popping noise everytime we use the vehicle. I thought it was a popping sound from the gas tank, but after I adjusted the gas cap, it was still there. I just have no clue what it could possibly be. Does anyone have this same problem?? My father in law has the same model and does not have this problem at all. I just don't have good luck with cars it seems.

Does the truck have auto-ride? My 04 does and I was told that the shocks will need to be adjusted when I can find the time to drop off.

I don't believe we have auto-ride. It was not an option in our invoice.
