THe Typical Chevy Miss?!

I am the proud owner of hmm, well many Chevy C/K Trucks and Suburbans over the last several years and I have to say that from 1986 to the 1999 I still experience a miss in the engine every now and then.

I am current owner of both a 99 Suburban 3/4 ton 4x4 with a 454 and 4:10 rear end with Large ovrsized off-road tires as well as 97 K1500 1/2 ton 4x4 3.73 rear end with Large oversized off-road tires.

I was just wondering if I am the only one that notices the ocassional miss in the engine while its idling at a light or in the driveway or have others expeirenced this also?

Secondaly, is there a fix to this not that it bothers me I am just curious.

Check your vacuum to your MAP sensor for slight leak. Also, check how you've routed your plug wires. You may have to look in a factory manual for the correct routing. The wrong plug wire (and/or sensor wires) routing will make a difference. The wires leak enough voltage that will deaden a different cylinder and have you ECM sensors send false signals.
