It may be a difference in cars, but I've gone through 2 sets of Bosch Platinum +4's in my S-14 without ANY idle or other problems. I like the +4's, I felt a difference when I first put them in.

But that's just me.

The Bosch Platinums are decent...I just said they're my second choice to NGKs. After I replaced the +4s with NGKs, there was a huge difference in idle quality for me (positive).

NGK all the way. Just do not get Autolite. They will shit out in like two months. NGK v twins work very well.
