Cavalier Exhaust?

Hey i recently traded in my old honda for an 02 Cavalier 5-speed.
I want to have a new exhaust and possibly air intake installed(if i can find someone who installs intakes) ne ways i was wondering who makes the best sounding exhaust in your opinion for my car. it is a 2200 engine(which i believe is the same as 2.2L correct me if im wrong) ive looked at magnaflows on their site but they seemed to be really expensive. would a flowmaster sound good on a cavalier. ne help wud be greatly appreciated. by the way im new to this so go ez

Re: Cavalier Exhaust?

i have a 2002 cavalier 5 speed 2.2 and yes 2200 is a 2.2. my exhaust is a full chrome ractive exhaust it has a good clean sound. it's loud but not too loud. i personally don't like flowmaster but thats just my opinion. if you would like to see pics of it i'll send you some. or go to www.toucanindustries.com stacy

thanx for the info. do u know if adding an exhaust voids the warranty? someone told me it only voids the warranty if it is what causes the problem.

Re: Cavalier Exhaust?

the 2200 is 2.2L but is not to be confused with the 2.2L ecotec motor.

Re: Cavalier Exhaust?

you should install your own intake. Its easy. You can find a good one for cheap at jbodyperformance.com
Exhaust sound is a personal prefrence. I like flowmaster and magnaflow. Right now I only have a glasspack. I think that a straight pipe sounds the best

Re: Cavalier Exhaust?

getting a exhaust does not void your warranty. doing anything to your suspension (lowering it) or anything major like that will void your warranty

ok i went and checked out the shop today and he told me i cud get a catback exhaust and tip for 250. he mentioned that he wud use slightly wider pipes and he had all the magnaflow exhaust tips to use from. is all this worth 250? i dont think its a magnaflow exhaust if it is only 250 but then again i cudnt ask to many questions cuz he was busy. he said id get a deeper sound but i dunno bout hp. is this worth it?
