Tranny conversion
Anyone know what I need to do in order to convert my 91 civic hatchback from 4speed to 5speed? My tranny is on it's way out, and I love my car so I'm willing to replace it, but I'd like to move on to 5 speed. It's a comfort thing. Also, will I need to get a new clutch, and will any of this affect dropping in a b16 at some point? Thanks in advance.

Re: Tranny conversion
its a direct swap if im not mistaken. if anything a tranny mount may not line up, but someone will clear this up. as far as a b16 swap later is shouldnt affect being that you will use the b16 tranny anyways.

Thanks, I'm kinda new at this hehe. I've got one friend who manages a local Midas (great for sunday work) and another who is a certified honda mechanic, but works odd hours. I'm learnin as I go at this point. I'm sure someone's gonna shoot me, but I've been lookin through the threads and keep asking myself "wtf is a 4g" but hopefully someone will take me under their wing and show me the ropes.

Re: Tranny conversion
yes it will fit with no problem bolt on, and it wont at all effect your b16 swap later.
