My odo usually reads about 240 miles per tank (it's obviously low because of the 32's, etc.)

Well, just about. The roads are pretty slick so I'm in 4wd most of the time. I used to get about 250 miles per tank. Once I moved up here and had to start warming it up, and driving in 4wd with the defroster on all the time, I started getting around 170 miles per tank. My best tank ever was about 280 miles freeway. I've never been that close to 300.

-40 here,10-20 minutes for a good warm-up,leave it running if you go into the store to pick something up,run errands etc. And i would almost bet there is a 100 degree difference between AK and TX. My wife is from Houston, actually Huffman. So we were there before coming to Alaska. It is expensive here also, gas is $ 1.43 a gallon. It sucks but this place is beautiful. :stormzap:

The low fuel light comes on about 260 or 270, but it will go another 40 to 50 miles, trust me.:frog:

I've actually gone about 320 before. I do alot of highway driving.

Gas here is running about .89 to $1.00 right now. Over the summer it got up to $1.50.

Gas here is .97 cents a gallon, I have only had my Xterra for going on a week now, could the fact that the 4x4 has a smaller tank than most other suv's or does the mileage just suck also??
