car rims
Hi everyone. I recently bought a 97 Saturn SC2 and I just got new tires for it. I really dont like the look of the car with the steel rims and the crappy hub caps so I'm wanting to get a nice set of rims for the car. Now, I checked the rims I currently have (steel/black) and they are 15x6. Well, that is an extremely hard size to find for rims. I have come across several 15x6.5 and 15x7 and they claim that it will fit my car. How can this be? The tire I have is a BFGoodrich 195/60/r15 and it is fitted onto the 15x6 rims. How could I put this same tire onto a 15x6.5 or 15x7 rim? I'm not sure I understand how it could work, or maybe it can't and I just read some bad info on a few sites.

Re: car rims
They will fit your car. They never said it will fit your tire. You'll have to buy new tires if you want those new wheels.

Re: car rims
that is not necessarily true (mikes comment). Most tires have multiple rim widths that they are compatable with. .5" is not much and should work just fine. When you buy wheels they usually match wheels with stock tires unless otherwise specified
