Unhappy power seats...only one side works

i just got a 93' 740il last week and now both the driver and passanger seats wont go up...well one side of both seats wont go up...when i press the switch to move the back rest up only the left side work on the drivers side and only the right works on the passanger side...someone please tell me what to do im lost...i took out the seat completly and im just looking at it, havent got a clue what to do...thanks

I'm not too clear about what you are saying but I think you have the seatback twist problem. If so, the fix is here, about 3/4 down the page: http://www.nmia.com/~dgnrg/page_2.htm
