Need help with 95 Dx engine swap guys

Ok, here's the deal,

I drive a 95 DX coupe. Right now I have a Japanese D15b7 that was converted from a carb into a fuel injector. Whooping 102 HP. I've had probelms with this engine and I don't wanna fool around with the sensors or whatever is wrong anymore. Plus, I'm tired of wasting my money on a new clutch every month because of the idling problem. (I keep the foot on the clutch so it doesn't idle crazy while I'm stopped at a light - with a rice muffler) I'm thinking of buying a Vtec JDM D15b. It would add about 30 more horses without mods. What would I need to make this engine run in my DX? The new engine comes with a harness. Let's say I took the engine to a mechanic, would this be just like - take one engine out, put the other engine in and hook up the new ECU??? Speaking of which, which ECU would I need for the JDM d15b Vtec? Could anyone tell me the exact things I'd need before I buy this engine? It should be pretty much the same thing except the wiring, right?

Thanx

Was the ECU for the JDM motor? If not that may have been your problem to begin with. If it's not find a honda junkyard or used mech lot that has an american version and have it swapped out. It will bolt directly in and since the other motor is JDM you could probly sell it and make the money back you spent on the swap and then some. Hope that helps.

Well, I called this place that sells only ECUs, and they asked me about my injectors. And since the mechanic took my injectors from the USDM engine, he said that problem isn't the ECU. But yeah, as soon as I get the new engine put in, I will sell the old one. It only has about 55 K on it. I'm purchasing a 89-91 CRX Si ECU for the newer engine, will this one be ok?

I also have to get an injector resistor and I have no idea what it is or where I could get it. Does anyone know where I can find one?

Thanx

Im not to familiar with mix and matching ecu's and the resistor you're on ur own with...but in my opinion i'd just get the ECU made for your car.
