Someone stole my theory.

Interesting...it seem they are theorizing an even denser form of matter than neutron gas
the article is very skimpy on details but what I can make of their theory is a further stage (if you can call them that) that will take the degenerate's gas density past white star and even neutron star density and manage to lose most of its energy in the process so it becomes a Bose Einstein cloud...of course I could be completely off the mark here I wonder how they explain what happens with external energy (especially when they steal other stellar matter) when absorbed since that should upset the condensate...

I'm not sure i like the example of a bubble. They mention that it's thik skinned but that it's flexible. I can deal with that. But now how would you explain something in contact being obliterated, and then assimilated into the shell of this "bubble". Perhaps they mean something like the air filter on a car.. it's got a tough but flexible surface, and when the firt comes in contact with it, the dirt becomes part of the filter itself.. Would that make sense?? So where does light come into all this? If light touches a gravastar, does it become part of the skin?? Would it then be a lit- black hole? And if it's density is quite near infinite, wouldn't it's gravitational forces become more powerful as it grows in density? This is usually one way of measuring gravitational strength is it not? The more dense, more mass, the higher gravity??? So if it's density is infinite sucking in all forms of mass, would it's gravity also grow infinitly thus causing anything and everything to be sucked in at an incredible rate? We should just shoot some stuff into a damn hole and when it gets there in 50 years we'll have the technology to be there to see it.. lol Interesting reading.. try Hawking.. smart man.. and he makes a good Simpsons character..

Re: Interesting black hole theory
Neutrino, i sort of agree with you. But where does the matter go once it collapses into ??. As there is no singularity (or is there??) !!. And as you migh know black holes release matter in form of radiation. What will this do ??.

So radiation being emited from a black hole could be either matter (particles), or not matter (energy waves). But knowing this brings the next question- If radiation can escape a black hole, why can light not escape?? A radiation beam or wave must have a certain speed, does it exceed the speed of light ?? HHmmm???? |

Re: Re: Re: Interesting black hole theory

If you are referring to the classical Schwarzschild black hole theory then yes they do have a singularity (the size of a geometrical point) at their center. The matter will forever collapse into it adding to its mass but of course never to its size since it’s curved on itself and has no size. And the x-ray radiation (actually detected) emitted by black holes comes from the accretion disk which is outside the event horizon There is also the hypothetical (aka Hawkins radiation - never detected) The Hawkins radiation it’s created near the horizon from particle/antiparticle pairs. Those pairs in the normal universe annihilate each other, however near the horizon is possible for one to fall in the black hole and for the other random particle that sits outside the horizon to escape as radiation. Bottom line: nothing really escapes black holes only stuff close to them Of course on top of the black hole theory, Einstein and Nathan Rosen postulated that everything that falls in a black hole might be expelled at a different point in the universe via a white hole. The transport from the one point to the other will be made as faster than light speeds via the Einstein-Rosen-Podolski bridge (aka wormhole) Quote:
Not only matter is comprised of particles, the radiation is too, the wave representation is just another way to view matter and energy in physics. And again as explained in the previous post nothing escapes once passed the event horizon. It’s misleading when they say that radiation escapes black holes and the radiation both from the accretion disk and Hawkins that you were referring to as "escaping" can be as photons in the visible spectrum(light).

By the way, wouldn't this theory kind of eliminate the possibilty of worm holes? That'd be too bad.
