Spark + Fuel = No Start
Working on a friend's 89 Civic. There is spark at the plugs and fuel pressure at the filter and the thing just turns over with no sign of catching at all. ANyone familiar with these cars who knows what I should check next?
Thanks. [email protected] |

By the way this is on an 89 Civic.
OK so NOT the injector. Went and got a couple from a wrecker that had good resistance and still nothing. I'm pretty sure I hear the fuel pump come on for a second when I turn the key. Also, it seems that every time I try to start it there ends up being pressure at the service bolt on the filter again so I'm pretty sure the fuel pump is OK. So now I'm kinda stuck. I know spark is good so it's got to be fuel. So what do I check? Someone suggested that the plugs would be wet after turning it over if fuel was making it into the cylinders. Can anyone confirm this? |
