|
this has probably been answered here before but i couldn't find it....so, what does it mean when after 30 min of driving the HICAS light comes on? i can shut off the car and restart it, drive another 30 min and it comes right back on. do i need a new HICAS computer or what?any help would be greatly appreciated cause this is bugging the crap out of me.

G'day buddy,
Its probably 'cause you are low on power steering fluid or you have a aftermarket steering wheel with a wrong bos kit fitted. If this is not it, it is most likely only a faulty sensor in which you can disconnect from the reservior. Cheers, Doc |

hey doc,
what do you mean by bos kit? i put a nismo steering wheel from a primera on her and thats about when this started. thanks man, jon |

The boss kit is what secures the steering wheel to the steering column.
It what you bolt your wheel onto. If this is not a nissan skyline one, your hicas light will come on because it is the boss kits sensors that sends the information to the hicas computer. Doc |
