Alternator

Okay i don't know why this suddenly popped into my head but a few yrs ago i was using my uncles 81 datsun 4x4 pick with the 8 plug 4banger well the alternator went out and i replaced it with a GM one it bolted in perfectly and wired the same i don't know if anything has changed but from some pics i have seen the nissan and gm alt's look very much alike this might save some money if they are interchangable.

Re: Alternator

Friend has one he's been sitting on for ages, afraid to put it in his Pathfinder because there's an extra terminal on the GM unit and he's not sure which one to connect to. Otherwise it looks like it ought to go right in if the pulley is suitable or his original one can be swapped onto the GM unit.
