1997 gm yukon dome light

im having a issue with my dome lights.. they dont come on at all the bulbs are good. is thir a relay for them? also when the lites gave out the map lights are real dim expecialy when you turn on more than 1? all fuses in the main fuse box on the side of the dash all check out good on a ohm meter. is their another fuse box? help :-)

I'm not positive, but I do believe there is a circuit panel for your light system. My friend was having the same problem with his Durango. He went to AutoZone and picked up a new Relay/Circuit and it fixed his problem.

autozone sucks they dont know crap unfourtenealy :-( NE one out their that has this prob or knows any info on it?

I have the same issue with my '95 Yukon, except mine is still intermittent Some days the dome lights will turn on, some days it's only the rear one, some days, the front, some days none at all. It's really fustrating. I'm thinking it's a wiring issue in the ceiling panels because I can usually get the light to come on by banging on the center plastic part (yes, real high tech, I know). Someday, I'll get around to checking the connections up there, it could be relay up there going bad. Let me know if you have any luck.
