If you have ever pulled codes from your '96 or similar>

I looked around the gas pedal and I didn't see where the box to pull the codes was. I think it says in the manual that you have to unhook something to get to the ecu, but I saw three possible "boxes." Does anyone know how to get at this thing? Thanks

If you have a 96 look directly at the gas pedal, then go up and back behind the dash and maybe a hair towards the center console. The PCM is silver and I think the largest box you'll see. The good news is that it has a diagnostic mode selector screw on it that you can flash the codes with. The bad news is it is on the top of the PCM, very difficult to reach but I can do it without removing anything. Just takes some practice.

Unfortunately it is pretty difficult, I'd recommend getting an inspection mirror to look at the top of the PCM first to see exactly where the screw is located. Also mine came covered with clear tape that needs to be scraped away first. It is a very tight squeeze requiring me to lie on my back on the floor board and reach up to access the screw.
