04 Gtp Onstar Location? Disconnect?

I Own A 2004 Gtp And Want To Disconnect The Onstar Option.i Am Installing A New Aftermarket Gps System And Want To Deactivate The Current System.can I Just Remove A Fuse And Make My Life Simple?thanks For Any Info! Jeff

Your Onstar computer is in the truck on the drivers side on the quarter panel (under the black cover). There is a fuss for your Onstar ( on the fuss box) but I think that fuss is for your radio as well. I have a 2001 GTP with Onstar, and I know that when my radio locked me out Onstar told me that there system would not work without the radio working. They told me there system only works through the radio in the car.

You can disco the antenna port above right of the gass pedal directly behind the console. The connector is a Motorola mini u. I re-used the onstar antenna for my creat-a-link paging devise that allows me to call the car and initiate multi functions, i.e., start, windows up/down etc. Hope this helps 10 days later.
