Question backup light sensor location

Wanting to change my backup light sensor but having a little trouble
finding the exact location?

Also wondering if I would have to reset the cars cpu once i have it installed, or hooked up to the computer at a dealers shop?

Re: backup light sensor location

Its on the top of the transmisson. I've had trouble with mine and it was due to bad contacts, just a thought. No you don't have to get the comp reset

Re: backup light sensor location

Its a 2000 with a five speed tranny.

On top of the tranny there is the Tranny fuild cap. Leaning over the drivers side fender which side of of oil cap would it be on?
