motor replacement

Has anyone else had to get their motor replaced yet? My spec v had been burning oil since the day i got it! I bought it used by the way at 17,500 miles! Nissan did finally warranty the motor 500 miles before the warranty ran up and replaced the motor! It is running great at this time besides the fact that I have had it alligned twice and it still pulls to the right! Also I have a problem with a high pitched noise when i go over 70 miles an hour, but not all the time! I would have to say that I haven't been that satisfied with this car. By the way nissan told me that the cat. was burning out causing metal flakes to go into the motor and shaving the piston walls. That was the excuse that I was given.

this is a common problem and 90% of 02 and 03s were recalled to get it fixed. you're definitely not alone in getting a new qr motor... many 02 SER owners have had their's replaced.
you should be good to go now however.
