Camber problems after installing AC Lift
I can't seem to get the camber on the front wheels correct. The tops are out too high... so the wheels kind of look like this \ / . I searched on XOC and found that someone else had this problem and posted their fix... which didn't fix mine. Any suggestions? Thanks,.

that's if you can't get an answer here. I know that Outdoorzguy had alignment problems, but has them fixed now. I'm sure he could help, but he doesn't come here..

I believe it has something do with adjusting camber from the top. Apparently too many shops don't know how to do this.

Its not too difficult to adjust from the top. There's only two camber bolts you can adjust. Even with both of them rotated all the way to the innermost setting, his camber is still off. There's not really any room to work with. We both installed & bought our A-arms at the same time. Mine is not as bad as Elroy's but is still not correct, even adjusted all the way. I'm wondering is Nissan Mike had a bad batch of A-arms (too long) or something... At this point, we're actually considering grinding off the existing "weld beads" on the frame that the camber washers rest against, extending the distance of the holes that the camber bolt resides in, and welding new beads for the washer to adjust against. That shouldn't be necessary, however, unless something else was built incorrectly.

OK, it's starting to look a little better, but it's still off. FSRBIKER had me loosen the top nuts on the front sway bar and drive around the block then come back and tighten the bolts back up. Which seemed to correct it a bit, but now I have no idea what to do next.

How far is it off now? We eyeballed mine to get it the best we could(it still looked a tad off) then i took it to an alignment shop that specializes in lifted trucks...my truck never tracked straight from the factory(Nissan always said it was fine when they checked it) but now it drives straight as an arrow. Honestly I would not have Nissan align my truck again, your best bet is to find someone in the area that knows trucks...your local 4x4 shop should be able to point you in the right direction. Did Nissan Mike help you out with some pointers?

FSRBIKER- Was the shop you went to able to work with the parts as-is, or did they have to do any custom machining/fabricating? I found a shop nearby (appropriately named "Alignment Specialists"), and pretty much all they do is lowered/lifted trucks. The only problem is that they charge an hourly rate, not flat, so if they start doing weird stuff, it could get expensive.

they have the ability to do custom work if needbe but my truck aligned within factory specs...I see Elroy posted on the AC board and Jane asked for him to call or PM her. From my many conversations with Nissan Mike he said he has made several custom sets of a-arms for those who can't get their trucks in alignment, the frame tolerances from Nissan just suck...but that's not something people with sliderz or ARB's don't know already
