Wiring Brake Controller
I am wiring a trailer electric brake controller into my Pathfinder 2001 SE. The unit requires a trigger voltage, that they suggest you take from the brake pedal switch. Unfortunately, the switch is a normally closed type and sends 12V through the switch all the time, when the brake pedal is pushed it goes to 0V (opening the switch)....The brake controller requires the opposite. Does anyone know where I can tap into a wire that's near the dash that has 12V on it when the brake is pushed and 0V when it's not?
I can get it from the tail light at the back, but want to avoid running another wire... Thanks Rob |
