Question Oil pressure and tires

I just bought a 94 3000gt. When i was looking at the car before i bought it I noticed the oil pressure gauge was at about 1/4 and that seemed pretty low to me. When i got the car home I had to put a little over 1 quart of oil in the car. Now when I start the car up it sits a little over the 1/2 mark when idling and driving, but after the car has warmed up and it idles the pressure drops down to a little below the 1/4 mark again. There doesn't seem to be any leaks. Does this sound normal? I don't have the manuel so I'm not sure where it should be.

The car also needs some tires. It has 245/45/17 Kumho ECSTA Supra 712 on it now, but they're pretty worn. What are the best tires out there to get? I'm looking for a high performance tire but not something made for the track. I can't get anything real expensive either. Should I just get new Kumhos. The guy I bought it from said they were pretty good, but he could have been BS me. Thanks in advance for any information.

I'm pretty sure it's normal. Mine does the same thing.

Not sure about the tires =\ Trying to figure out the same thing.

I'd keep an eye on the oil level. If it stays full then you don't have any problems. Like Nesyrn said, some fluctuation is normal.

As for the tires you may want to check out Nitto http://www.nittotire.com/ a lot of guys swear by them.

Also, check out tirerack.com if you have a limited budget, I saved 70 bucks per tire on my sumitomo HTRZ2s.
