I don't know if you have another audi dealer near where you live, but I would get a second opinion. You could go to a dealer or to a european only garage too and just have them look at it. You could also find somebody with a vag-com tool and have them just plug it in and look at the abs control mudule to check for any fault codes.
Then again, the dealer could be right, but if it is that noticeable, it seems like there would be a lot more complaints about it surfacing. Let us know how you get on. -Brad |

Yes.
I too have noticed that slight "crunch". It usually happens just after I put it into Drive, and begin to move. The image in my head, regarding the sound, was of one of the front tires scraping (slightly) the wheel well edge. I can feel it through the gas pedal. I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who has noticed that. Regardless, I'm still going to go get it checked out. I just bought the damned thing yesterday!
