Crankshaft Specs

Hello, I'm new to this forum. I have a question that I hope somebody can answer for me. I have a 99' Cavalier with the 2.2. The motor ate a set of timing gears at 38k. I replaced and continued driving. Around 55k I developed a rod knock. I pulled the motor apart and found out that I need a complete rebuild. The problem I'm having is getting a crankshaft. I have tried Autozone for a crank kit. They keep trying to give me a crank out of a 97'. It is not the same. I need to know what years are what; when it comes to the cranks. If I can't get a crank kit, I will have to have this one ground .02 under.

Thanks in advance for all the help!!

Rick

Well, I had the old crank turned down. This will be my last post. I guess I should have posted else where. After monitoring this forum now for a few days it seems that this question was a little too much for the people in here.
