Sure am Mark. Why, how many other 300ZX fanatics who call themselves Blipman are out there?

Re: Completed 300ZX
LOL
Nah not many... just didn't expect to see someone from the forums posting here! I've actually just started on a 300zx kit of my own. My 3rd! Apparently it's no longer sold here in Oz though, so I managed to grab one from eBay for about $28 delivered from HK. It's got a few badly molded areas on the body I'm having to putty up and resand, but it'll come out ok. By the way, if you ever come across anyone who owns a Silver, '90-'93, TT, Auto, 2seat Z (doesn't have to be for sale) PLEASE LET ME KNOW!!! Cheers bud. Mark P.S. Great looking Z by the way, that's about the best colour I've seen on one. Is your real life Z the same colour??? |

Re: Re: Completed 300ZX
Don't want to but in on anything between you guys, but why an auto Z? I could see it being useful for drag racing to get better launches. An auto Z????? Have to go with a manual in any sports car, but that's my opinion.

Re: Completed 300ZX
Hey 86_SR5,
Partly 'cos I'm lazy and do a lot of city driving - re: the auto. I've never been a big fan of autos, could be 'cos I've done a lot of flying and am used to the 'set and forget' power settings. [shrug] In the end I aim to keep saving the pennies and by a semi-auto (sequential) box to put in it, which I think is the king of them all! I suppose another point is that I'm not going to be racing my Z. The closest I'll get is dragging someone off the lights when we get the green, so I suppose an auto may get my nose in front due to less lag with gear changes. Each to their own I guess. M |

Hey Mark,
nope, my 1:1 scale Z is black (and manual ). If you don't want to buy it why do you want an auto silver Z? There are heaps around.Ben |

Re: Completed 300ZX
Hey Blipman,
I've been searching all the caryards around Brissy for ages, all the main websites, etc... nothing (that's worthwhile). Any tips on where else to look? Actually, if you've got any ideas just email me, we're getting a bit too much off-topic. |

Re: Re: Completed 300ZX
Oh, ok I completely understand. The clutch in my corolla is pretty soft, and although tiring, I do like the fact it gets good gas mileage, and I can put it in overdrive @15mph@500rpm and it idles at 1000rpm. The auto will be a good thing for the city and drag, of course if your good with a manual, you can beat an auto car with all the same stuff.
