Put a Saturn in its place, lol

Hi,

I got a 88 STD hatch.
Just recently swapped a D1616 engine along with a 5 speed DX tranny to replace the shitty STD 4 speed.
Anyways, another friend of mine has a 96 Saturn SC2 Auto.
We were comin back from lunch to head back to school, he got next to me at like 40mph and floored it, i was in 3rd gear and downsifted to 2nd and just pulled on him like he was stading still.
Not a amazing kill but its my first race in da hatch.

Another friend of mine has a 92 Oldmobile Cutlass. Its an Auto with a V6 generating 160hp with 183lbs of torque. It weighs in at 3048 lbs.

We are gonna go from a roll and a stop. He is very confident that he will eat me up. Im a pretty good driver and i definetly have the weight advantage. Who do you think would win? From a roll? From a Stop?

Thanks

do know who will win, but why did you go with the dx tranny, i hate mine cause it is geared so bad. but what ever you want cause it is your car, by the way, good job on the saturn always good to win a race.

My friend had an old saturn, not sure what model, when we raced he always had it in speed shift(automatic). It had slow exceleration then when he got into 2nd the car went ALOT quicker.

Saturn is now coming out with the ION Redline. It's supercharged from the factory. I think the specs on it are 200 ft lbs of torque and 205 hp. I also think its going to retail under $20,000.
I'd say that's a fast Saturn, but its still a Saturn.

If Honda came out with a 200hp Civic under $20k it would still be a Civic.. nothing luxurious. But I'm sure Honda-enthusiasts would buy it, just like Saturn enthusiasts would buy a stock blown Ion.

thanks guy for the replies.
I went with the 5 speed DX tranny because i got the tranny with no grinds and a free clutch.
All for $75 bucks.
Also, i didnt have time to order one or pull on myself. the old blown 4 speed is goin to da junkyard lol.
