Can an OZrally body fit on top of an evo chassie?
I really want to keep the rally body to disquise a fully suped evo beast under the hood a true sleeper indeed. Who would suspect an OZ Rally to be an awd monster delivering 100 hp to each wheel i would like to be the first to do it and being my first project it will be a challenge but i look foward to it. |

Re: Can an OZrally body fit on top of an evo chassie?
If it fits at all it won't be a perfect fit, and will take lots of custom work. Very few body panels(just the doors, I think) are shared between the Evo and the regular Lancers.
Just get yourself an Evo without a wing, and debadge it.

Actualy the EVO is based on the Cedia chassis, which is actualy sold in the US and Australia as the Lancer.
So yes, most of the body panel from an EVO VII and VIII should fit on a US/Aus spec Lancer, or a Japanese Cedia. And of course many of the interior parts will also be interchangable. However being that they are both moncoque cars, you can not swap chassis. The body of the car is the chassis.
