What is the highest I should rev the engine in my 2.5L, 1988 Lebaron? And what best rpm to shift for fastest accleration?

i think highest rev on 3.0 is 5500 rpm or so, i shift @ 3000 but thats not best for acceleration. I suggest if you want to street race by the looks of wanting to accelerate fast is get a different car. The 2.5s have like 100 horsepower. just an fyi incase thats what you were doing. If you want to beat it to death go to redline shift, redline shift.
