99 Ultra front shocks?

do i have to buy from dealer. I want the grand touring shocks, but gabriel and monroe don't differentiate from std. PA to ultra w/GT susp. am i stuck with the dealer? i'm sure gm buys these from someone, just need to know who?

Chris - DON'T I repeat DON'T get Monroe's or Gabriel replacement shocks. I had a standard PA and had them replaced at a local Monroe and Midas. They rode horrible. It was like a truck - every bump I hit sounded like the strut towers were coming through the car. I had it back and they said it was correct. Their explanation is that the original shocks were an oil dampened shock, and these were gas shocks. The others were no longer available. Go to the dealer if you want the GT suspension. I wouldn't even bother with an aftermarket anywhere.
