Re: yes there is a sr20dett

Its Like A Waste Of Time..... And Its Still Not A Sr20dett Its A Sr20det Converted To Twin.

Why Would You Try And Spool Up A Turbo On 2 Cylinders When You Can Spool Up A One Turbo On Four? There Is No Performance Benefit For Having Those Two Turbos.

Re: yes there is a sr20dett

Actualy there can be a benifit. If you have two smaller turbos that are non sequential you can produce boost faster. But you will have to deal with the added complexity of having 2 turbos instead of one. Looks nice tho ::

Re: yes there is a sr20dett

Yeah But Not On Two Cylinders...... If You Have The Same Turbo On All Four It'll Be Alot Faster.

Re: yes there is a sr20dett

If you hava turbo that is 51% smaller than the larger single counterpart yes it will performe better than the a turbo that is larger and runs on all cylinders. So yes it can be advantagious to do thi.

thats old news man, that picture is years old.

Like some have said, I see no benefit of having twin turbos on an inline engine, especially an I-4. Same single turbo will actually make boost faster since there is more exhaust pressure pushing the turbine wheel.

Re: yes there is a sr20dett

Like i said, if the twins are 51% smaller than the comparable single turbo, IT WILL BE BETTER PERFORMANCE. Think about that for a minute.

Yes they are only running on 2 cylinders of exhaust pressure, but they are also 51% smaller than the larger turbo. Which means that they only require 49% of the exhaust pressure that powers the larger single, which means that that extra exhaust pressure that is there will help in spinning the turbo faster, sooner.

Re: yes there is a sr20dett

What We Are Trying To Say Is That If You Use One Of Those Turbos It Will Spool Twice As Fast And To The Same Max Psi, There Is No Benefit. Now If Your Going For A Lot Of Boost Then A Single Large Turbo Is Your Best Option.

Re: yes there is a sr20dett

If the turbos spin up twice as fast you will produce full boost sooner. To me that seems like an advantage. As well you can run comprabel boost between the two turbos to equal the same amout of boost that is produced by one large single. It will make the same power but it will make it sooner. The only problem is getting the turbos to work together. It is simplier to just use a single turbo. But there is an advantage to using 2 smaller ones.

Re: yes there is a sr20dett

Ok I Don't Think Your Getting What I'm Saying. You Know The Two Smaller Ones You Are Talking About? Take One Of Those And Power It By All Four Cylinders. It'll Spool Twice As Fast And Still Produce The Same Max Psi, Just Sooner.

And Boost Doesn't Work That Way. Say You Run 15psi On Both Turbos, It Doesn't Meen You Are Running 30psi It Means Your Running 15psi.

Re: yes there is a sr20dett

the only thing i can think to say is if 2 turbos has better performance y doesnt every one do it?????? so by that observation i would have to say a single is better.
