F&F's marketing

I was thinking today about the term "NOS," and realized that even though so many people get mad at the term(me included) it was pretty ingenious. Im assuming they planned this, and hopefully this isnt a repost, but since the movies like 3 years old it may be. Also, I dont remember, but what did they call nitrous in 2F 2F? Anyways, everytime some little kid watches the movie, they hear NOS, and so they see it as an awesome powerful thing, that they want. Now when it comes time to put some 'NOS' in their cars they search for, what else, but 'NOS' of course. Seeing as how Nitrous Oxide Systems sponsored it, thats exactly what they wanted... thousands of little kids to go out and think that NOS was the only nitrous maker, and every time they search for NOS, it just reiterates what they thought. So now we have thousands of little kids buying NOS because thats all they know, and as far as they're concerned its the original, one and only... pretty damn smart from a business, but also very selfish and stupid from a moral standpoint.

P.S., if this is a repost, reply with the link please, Im curious to see whats been said.

Re: F&F's marketing

Marketing and morality are rarely mutualy inclusive.

Its nothing new, and given the extent of comercialisation in the modern world not particularly clever.

Your sig for example is a perfect add for Toyota, whether you believe it or not your promoting thier product, along with the manufactor of the wheels, and if the pic was in its orginal size the name of the tuner.

Its also a little to big, if you could reduce the image size by about 20% it would make this thread, all others you've posted in much easier to read

you sure? I dont think the first did, and in the second one NX payed like 500,000 so theyd be the sole nitrous product.

And I am promoting it, its a nice car, and you'd also realize 1,000 hp supras aren't all that easy to attain, but its not quite as planned or subconscious as I feel the "NOS" was; its really not even in the same category. And its also actually aimed at those 'anti-imports' people, just sort of letting them know that the 2JZ can hang with any LS1.

The pic is actually linked from a website. I guess I'll look for a host and resize it or just get a new one, but I didnt realize it was such a problem, I guess 56k is still very present...
