Can i put a 4g63(DOHC) head into a 4g64(SOHC) block???
Gurus,
can you please enlighten me on this one.... is it possible to put a 4g63DOHC head into a 4g64SOHC block, so that i can stroked it into a 2.2l?? is it worth the hasselle and cost? any help is very much appreciated.... |

Yes, but it's not a 2.2. You can use the 4g64 crank in the 4g63 block for a 2.3, or go to the full 4g64 block and crank for a 2.4.
I'd recommend you doing more research on that before you stat buying parts, I haven't studied any of that at all, that's just what I've picked up from some DSM guys I know, one running the 2.3 stroker and 2 with the 2.4 Here's the site where one of them was documenting his 2.4 buildup, but it's been a while since he updated it - http://www.swordfishgsx.8m.com/photo4.html |

Did you want to stroke the 4G63T for an Evolution or an DSM? If you want to, there is a stroker kit for the 4G63T DOHC that was made for the Evolution 8 recently. Maybe you can get more info from other people of it from www.evolutionm.net
