Lets see pcis of your car.

yeah.... I've been trying to figure out how to post pix! I got a digital camera and I can not even show my pix! I don't even know how to get those cool Avatars... I'm hopeless when it comes to computers... will, someone show me how to post pix???

Bimmer vs. Z32? Sounds like a BMI video! Only on the touge though! And no drifting! I just bought some strut bars for my beast and wanna see how it feels on those curves!

I think I am gonna get a 510 though (or another 240sx)... so I can drift! Plans: 510 w/SR20DET and tons of suspension mods!

first off 1via, you do know you can use more than one quote in a post so you don't have to post 3 times in a row right? and no your all wrong, they are made here, shipping all those car parts would be gobs of money that no car company is dumb enough to pay

Re: Pontiac GTO TO Drift In Formula D

sorry if If Im hogging thread-space people.....

As for you, Soyo.... it's kinda wierd that my car has a funny little tag saying, "MADE IN JAPAN'... along with a whole bunch of other parts on the car stating the same, huh? Wierd... I guess that means they were made in the US, huh? You're so smart, guy! I wish I can be 17 again and pretend I have an RX-7 and say that I drift... sigh, those were the days...... you realy think your smart, dont'cha, son?
If you wanna be useful let me know how I can post pix of my car... cus I'm not pretending, kid!

Soyo, 1via is actually right. The cars are made in japan, BUT they are made to US, not Japan sepcs.

Turbos are different sizes, ECUs tuned differently, different structural bracing, steering wheel on the other side etc. So it may be built in Japan, but its USDM.

1via, you can upload the pictures when you make a post.

Re: Pontiac GTO TO Drift In Formula D

it says UPLOAD PICTURE twords the bottom of the post page. look and it should be easy to find, then it'll be easy to figure out from there

oh yea and I'm pretending to have an rx-7 and pretending that I drift a little, if I was pretending why would I 'pretend' my clutch went out an the car sat in the garage for 3.5 weeks waiting for the new clutch to come in, then waiting for the snow to go away, then eventually having to pay someone to put it in cuz I had no where to work on it. and why would I say I'm a beginner at drifting and haven't done a ton of it if I was pretending? and why would I not just start off saying I had a TII with exhaust, rebuilt engine, new ECU, new wheels and tires, LSD, Teins or anything else? who pretends to have a stock/near stock car and pretneds they are a beginer at drifting? no one pretends to be mediocre(sp?) and if everythign I said was pretend why would I pretend my cousin blew the engine in his 240sx and got a new KA24DE instead of sayign he got an SR? honestly your assumptions make absolutely no sense at all, just because you can't accept that pontiac can make a car that can drift with nissan, maxda, toyota, any other car company doesn't me the car sucks or will suck, you probably don't know any of the specs on the car and none of us have ever seen it in action so you obviously don't know so why don't you stop being a little bitch and stop arguing about a car you've never seen drift and have never tried to drift. oh well if I'm 17 and your like what 23 I think? your point? age mean nothing in car knowledge, I've reasearched and spent time around cars since I was 14 and as soon as I bought my own car when I was 15(1990 plymouth laser piece of crap 1.8 litre) got into cars even more, and then when I was 16 and got my rx-7 I researched even more and spent more time with cars, I work on my car, my families cars, my friends cars, I even go wtch people work on their cars just so I can get a better understanding of how each car works and is put together, now you can call BS on me all you want, but I don't really care and have nothing to prove to you.

Re: Pontiac GTO TO Drift In Formula D

ofcourse its Japanese, but its still USDM, which makes it a lot different from the cars in Japan, not just the side the steering wheel is on either...

The GTO has a good setup, I can't wait to see what happens

as you'll notice I DID NOT change my tune, I said from the beginning that its Japanese based but still sort of domestic(couldn't think of 'usdm spec' at the time)

I don't know for sure if I'm going or not, me and my cousin were planning on it, but now hes getting married in april, so we'll have to see if wedding planning gets in the way... hopefully I'll be there though

anyways I think this thread is done with, someone can open up another one on feb. 29th and we can all argue about it again
